REdiscover the joys of school again! 〰️
Camp UOTS’ newest program, REdiscover addresses the absence of school and the loss of identity that comes with it. We will be hosting children who have been on Hospital Homebound or who have otherwise been missing school to take part in a fun-filled weekend, back at school, where your child can feel like a student again!
Who’s eligible? Homebound cancer patients, aged between 12 to 17, are eligible.
When/where is taking place? Friday, January 23rd to Sunday, January 25th. The children will stay overnight at the cabins of A.D. Barnes Park, located at 3401 SW 72nd Avenue in Miami and will be bussed each day to Ransom Everglades High School, located at 3575 Main Highway in Coconut Grove.

All expenses including meals, lodging and transportation will be taken care of and provided by Camp UOTS. REdiscover is completely free of charge to you. It is a gift to your child.

Calling all childhood cancer survivors — Thrive Fest: Beyond the Horizon is your space to reconnect, reflect, and rise. This one-day event is designed to help you feel empowered, educated, and equipped as you navigate life after treatment.
Join us for an inspiring and supportive day filled with:
💬 Expert speakers sharing real-life stories and survivorship tools
🧘♀️ Wellness activities like yoga and creative workshops
🛍 Resource & vendor booths with survivor-centered services and info
🤝 Connection circles where you can share your story and meet others who just get it
Whether you’re years into remission or recently completed treatment, Thrive Fest is about more than surviving — it’s about thriving. Come as you are, and leave with renewed strength, new friends, and the tools to live a more vibrant and dignified life beyond cancer.
Thrive Fest: Viva La Vida Celebration
Join us at Thrive Fest, a gathering for adolescent and young adult cancer survivors, where we'll address important topics, such as the late effects of cancer (including impacts on fertility, cardiovascular health, and mental wellbeing) and other issues that often affect cancer survivors into adulthood. This in-person event, intended for survivors, is all about embracing life and survivorship, connecting with other survivors, and learning about the tools out there to keep you thriving. Get ready to meet other survivors, enjoy delicious food, and gain tons of resources. Let's celebrate life together and THRIVE! See you there!
