Program Structure

Participants are dropped off by their parents on a Friday, where they select their bed in the cabins, and get to know other campers through ice breakers in our main Recreation Room. The next two days are filled with diverse school programming for two intermixed groups, A and B. Daily classes lead campers through four immersive subjects, with small class sizes that allow for plenty of personal guidance. REdiscover Coordinators create a balance of focused skill-building and playful exploration, ensuring each day feels both structured and surprising.

What’s Included

We cover all lodging, meals, and program materials, from custom agendas to notebooks and a bookbag, so each child can participate freely without added costs. Three meals a day are served in the Recreation Room on AD Barnes Park campgrounds or school premises, along with snacks and plenty of water. Participants stay in cozy cabins with new friends, cared for by attentive staff—including nurses and a Certified Child Life Specialist.

Session Length

Participants can enroll in our weekend session—a three-day, two-night stay offers a vibrant introduction and plenty of time to meet other participants, intended for relationship-building and stronger community bonds. This program promises a mini camp experience packed with creativity and interactive learning.

Participant Age Groups

Programs are designed for any pediatric cancer patients, 12 to 17 years old, with age groups divided into age groups. This ensures that instruction, activities, and community are tailored to each developmental stage. Campers live in cabins grouped by gender, creating a safe, close-knit environment where they can feel at home.
