Program Structure
Event programming is designed to allow participants to discover information and tools they need to feel equipped and educated for a thriving future, at their own pace. With some scheduled engagements and other freestanding activities, participants can pick and choose which parts they want to take part in and be part of a communal lunch where they can mingle with other attendees and exhibitors. small groups that allow for plenty of individual attention. The schedule changes year to year to allow for variety in topics and activities.
What’s Included
Registration for this event includes a Thrive Fest t-shirt and access to a full day of information, expert presentations, engagements, and networking with other survivors-turned-thrivers. Your free ticket also includes several nutritious and delicious meal and beverage options throughout the day.
Session Lengths
Session lengths range from 20 min to 45 min depending on the talk or engagement. We aim to alternate between expert talks and engagements so there are mental breaks in between presentations and participants can actively enjoy themselves while learning and taking in much needed information.
Participant Age Groups
Programs are designed for survivors ages 12 and up, with talks tailored for mainly AYA (adolescent and young adult) as suggested by our medical staff. Survivors younger than this are able to attend with parental consent, as well as parents who may want to come on behalf of their child who may still be undergoing treatment and who want to gather knowledge on what they can expect/ how to receive support.
